Rezdy Pricing Explained (2026)

Illustration of Rezdy's pricing structure as an itemised receipt

Rezdy has three plans: Foundation at $49 a month, Accelerate at $99 a month and Expansion at $249 a month (Australian dollars throughout this article), all plus 3% per online booking. Offline and agent bookings cost $1, $0.85 or $0.70 each depending on plan. Prices are exclusive of GST in Australia. You can absorb the 3% online fee or pass it on to your guests; the subscription and the offline booking fees you always pay yourself. All figures come from rezdy.com/pricing, verified 5 August 2026 and re-checked 7 August 2026.

That is the whole pricing model in one paragraph. The rest of this article is what it costs at real Australian operator volumes, what is easy to miss, and how it compares.

All three plans include unlimited products, users and agent connections, with no contract lock-in. There is a 21-day free trial with no credit card required, custom plans for high-volume operators through sales, and a 15% discount for not-for-profits (rezdy.com/pricing, verified 7 Aug 2026).

The 3% is Rezdy's platform fee, not payment processing. Card processing is separate and charged by your payment gateway on top. For comparison, Stripe's standard Australian rate is 1.7% plus $0.30 per domestic card transaction, fees inclusive of GST, with Stripe flagging lower pricing from 1 October 2026 alongside the interchange changes (stripe.com/au/pricing, verified 7 Aug 2026). On a $120 booking, an operator absorbing both pays $3.60 to Rezdy and $2.34 to Stripe: $5.94 in total, close to 5% of the booking before any other costs.

What each fee means in practice

The 3% online booking fee. Charged on every booking made through your website, your booking widget or other online channels. Rezdy's own footnote: "You can choose to absorb this fee, or pass it on to your guests" (rezdy.com/pricing, verified 7 Aug 2026). Passing it on adds 3% at your checkout. Whether your guests notice, and whether your competitors' checkouts look cheaper that day, is your call to make. One date for the diary: Australia's card surcharge ban arrives 1 October 2026, and any pass-on fee, on any platform, Kong's included, needs to pass the genuine-booking-fee test; our card surcharge ban guide explains it.

The offline and agent booking fees. Every booking you key in manually, take over the phone, or receive through a connected agent costs $1, $0.85 or $0.70 depending on plan. There is no option to pass these to guests. For operators with heavy phone bookings or agent trade, this line item is the one that surprises.

The subscription. Always paid by you, never passable. $588, $1,188 or $2,988 a year ex GST depending on plan.

Three worked examples at Australian volumes

These examples assume the operator absorbs the 3% online fee. If you pass it to guests, remove that line and your cost is subscription plus offline fees only. Payment gateway fees are excluded throughout because every platform charges them separately.

A small walking tour operator on Foundation. 50 online bookings a month at an average $120 booking value, no agent bookings. Subscription $49. Online fees: 3% of $6,000 is $180. Total: $229 a month ex GST, about $2,748 a year. Cost per booking: $4.58.

A mid-sized kayak operator on Accelerate. 150 online bookings a month at an average $150, plus 20 phone bookings. Subscription $99. Online fees: 3% of $22,500 is $675. Offline fees: 20 at $0.85 is $17. Total: $791 a month ex GST, about $9,492 a year. Cost per booking: $4.65.

A multi-tour operator on Expansion. 400 online bookings a month at an average $135, plus 60 agent bookings. Subscription $249. Online fees: 3% of $54,000 is $1,620. Offline fees: 60 at $0.70 is $42. Total: $1,911 a month ex GST, about $22,932 a year. Cost per booking: $4.15.

The pattern worth noticing: because the 3% scales with revenue, the subscription tiers matter less than the fee line. The kayak operator's cost per booking lands within cents of the walking tour operator's despite a plan twice the price. What the higher plans buy is features and cheaper offline bookings, not a lower online rate; the 3% is the same on all three plans.

Add GST to see the real bank-statement number: the kayak operator's $791 becomes about $870 a month including GST, roughly $10,440 a year, before payment processing. And if you pass the 3% to guests instead, run the other calculation honestly too: your checkout price rises 3% against competitors who absorb it, which is a marketing decision as much as a finance one.

What Rezdy gives you for that money

Fairness requires the other column. Rezdy is one of the most established platforms in the category, Australian-founded, with unlimited products, users and agent connections on every plan and a reseller marketplace that connects operators to travel agents and OTAs from inside the platform (rezdy.com, verified 7 Aug 2026). Operators rate it 4.5 out of 5 across 237 reviews on Capterra's Rezdy listing, with the booking calendar and reporting frequently praised (verified 7 Aug 2026). If OTA and agent distribution is the centre of your business today, that network is real value, and it is the main thing cheaper platforms do not replicate. The commissions those channels charge on top are a separate subject, covered in our guide to what OTAs and resellers charge in Australia.

How Kong's two plans compare

Kong's Australian pricing is one of two plans: $1 per booking of any type capped at $139 a month, with no subscription, no setup fee and no contract, or a 1.8% booking fee paid by the guest at checkout with the operator paying nothing, locked for 5 years for the first 100 Australian operators (bookwithkong.com/australia, verified 7 Aug 2026). The lock is a launch offer, so treat it the way you would any vendor's offer: ask what the terms say happens after year five, and what operator 101 pays.

Here are the three worked-example operators again, priced on both platforms under both fee treatments. Compare like with like: absorb against absorb, guest-paid against guest-paid.

All figures are the operator's monthly outlay in AUD ex GST; guest-side fees shown in brackets.

Two footnotes on the Kong columns, in the interest of the symmetry this article promises. [UNVERIFIED: how Kong's guest-paid plan charges phone and manually entered bookings, where there is no guest checkout; confirm with Kong before comparing on a mixed book.] And the agent-booking rows carry a caveat of their own: Kong's agent connections are in development, so agent-sourced bookings would sit outside Kong's live connections today.

Read both halves honestly. On the absorb path, Kong is cheaper at every volume shown. On the guest-paid path, both platforms cost the operator little or nothing and the real difference moves to the checkout: Rezdy's guests pay 3%, Kong's pay 1.8%, and either way your advertised checkout carries a fee that absorbing competitors' checkouts do not. There is one cross-comparison where Rezdy wins: if you would pass Rezdy's fee to guests but pay Kong's yourself, Rezdy Foundation is a flat $49 while Kong's plan one costs $1 per booking, so past about 49 bookings a month the flat $49 is the lower operator outlay. Which trade-off suits you depends on whether you would rather carry the cost yourself or put it on your guests.

The rest of the honest other side: Kong was founded in 2025, the team is small, and its OTA and reseller connections, including Viator and GetYourGuide, are in development, not live. Rezdy's distribution network exists today. An operator whose bookings depend on agents and OTAs is comparing a working network against a roadmap, and should weigh it exactly that way. Kong runs on Stripe only in Australia, so the same 1.7% plus $0.30 processing applies; Kong never holds your money, and payouts run through your own Stripe account. If Rezdy's model is not the right fit, the wider field is covered in our guide to Rezdy alternatives for Australian operators.

FAQ

How much does Rezdy cost per month?

Rezdy has three plans: Foundation at $49, Accelerate at $99 and Expansion at $249 a month, all exclusive of GST in Australia, plus 3% per online booking and a per-booking fee of $1, $0.85 or $0.70 for offline and agent bookings (rezdy.com/pricing, verified 7 Aug 2026).

Can Rezdy fees be passed on to guests?

Only the 3% online booking fee can be passed to guests or absorbed, at your choice. The monthly subscription and the offline and agent booking fees are always paid by the operator and cannot be passed on.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Rezdy?

It depends on your volume and whether you pass fees on. If you absorb fees, several platforms cost less; Kong charges $1 per booking capped at $139 a month, or 1.8% paid by the guest, though its OTA connections are still in development. If you pass Rezdy's 3% to guests, Rezdy's lower plans are cheaper than many rivals on operator outlay. Our Rezdy alternatives comparison prices six platforms side by side.
