Run your tour business from ChatGPT or Claude
Kong is a restech, online booking software for tour and activity operators, that works with ChatGPT and Claude. It spots problems and works out what to do. A guide calls in sick: it finds the rides at risk, recommends a move and waits for your yes.
Your assistant shows you exactly what it will change and waits for your yes.
One ATV booking today: the 11am Xtreme ride, 4 guests on 4 of 5 ATVs, nothing to collect.
Problem: waivers 0 of 4 signed. The group can't be checked in until they sign.
Tomorrow: one ride, 4pm Rainforest, 2 riders, already paid $360.
Want me to send Jason a waiver reminder now so the group arrives signed?
Also live with operators in Australia, Thailand and Vietnam.
Watch it work through a real problem
A real conversation from our demo ATV business: a marshal calls in sick on a full Friday.
Four rides are running Friday, and with Zack out, Euan is the only marshal.
He can cover the 9am and the 4pm. He can't cover both the 11am Xtreme and the 2pm Rainforest, because they overlap. One of those two has to move.
A or B? Once you say yes, I'll draft the guest email in Gmail for you to check, then move the booking when the guest picks.
Done. I've drafted an email to Priya in Gmail for you to check. It offers a free move to the 4pm ride or a free cancellation, her choice. When she picks, I'll move her booking.
Drafted in Gmail for you to check
Moved. Priya's group is now on the 4pm Rainforest ride on Friday: 5 ATVs, 6 people. That leaves Euan on the 9am, the 11am Xtreme and the 4pm. Want me to assign him to those three rides?
It found the problem, weighed the options, recommended one, and waited for your yes.
What you're watching
- You tell it the problem: "Zack called in sick. He's out Friday."
- It lists every ride that day, with guests, ATVs and money to collect.
- It works out what Euan can cover on his own, and finds the two rides he can't do both of.
- It lays out two options, picks one and says why. Then it waits for your yes.
- You say A. It drafts the email to the guest in Gmail for you to check, then moves the booking in Kong once they reply.
Read the full conversation
You: Zack called in sick. He's out Friday.
Claude: Four rides are running Friday 25 Sep, and with Zack out, Euan is the only marshal.
9am Rainforest: Rebecca Foo, a corporate team building group, 8 people on 5 ATVs, already paid. 11am Xtreme: Jonas Weber, 2 riders on 2 ATVs, $700 to collect. 2pm Rainforest: Priya Nair, 4 people on 3 ATVs, $590 to collect. 4pm Rainforest: Mei Ling Tan, 2 riders on 2 ATVs, $360 to collect.
Euan can cover the 9am and the 4pm. He can't cover both the 11am Xtreme (11am to 3pm) and the 2pm Rainforest, because they overlap. One of those two rides has to move.
Option A (my pick): move Priya Nair's 2pm ride to 4pm the same day. The 4pm ride already has Mei Ling Tan on 2 ATVs; adding Priya's group makes 5 ATVs and 6 people, so it fits and one marshal can take it. The guests keep their day and only start 2 hours later, but Euan works a 9-hour day with a one-hour break.
Option B: move Jonas Weber's Xtreme ride to another day. Saturday 11am fits exactly but needs two marshals; Sunday 11am is free and one marshal could run the day. Option B follows the usual rule (move the ride with fewer guests). I prefer Option A because the guests stay on the same day.
A or B? Once you say yes, I'll draft the guest email in Gmail for you to check (free move or free cancellation, their choice), then move the booking when the guest picks.
You: A.
Claude: Done. I've drafted an email to Priya in Gmail for you to check. It offers a free move to the 4pm ride or a free cancellation, her choice. When she picks, I'll move her booking.
You: Priya replied, 4pm works.
Claude: Moved. Priya's group is now on the 4pm Rainforest ride on Friday: 5 ATVs, 6 people. That leaves Euan on the 9am, the 11am Xtreme and the 4pm. Want me to assign him to those three rides?
What is this, in plain words?
ChatGPT and Claude can now connect to the apps you already use. Kong's connector lets your assistant look things up in your Kong account and make changes when you ask. It runs on MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard that ChatGPT and Claude both support. Kong is used by tour and activity operators in Malaysia, Australia, Thailand and Vietnam, and the connector works wherever you are.
Restech 2.0
Restech 2.0 is when your booking software gets a co-operator: an AI that runs the day with you, inside your rules. Nobody sells you one. You assemble it from a brain like Claude or ChatGPT and the tools it can talk to. This connector is Kong's part: the hands.
What can I ask ChatGPT or Claude to do in Kong?
Real questions, answered from your live Kong account.
- Today"What's on tomorrow, and who still hasn't signed their waiver?"
- Bookings"Move the Müller family from Saturday 9am to Sunday 9am and resend their confirmation."
- Money"How much did we make in September after expenses?"
- Tours and prices"Change the adult price on the extreme ride to $220."
- Guests"Find Sarah Lim's last booking and her phone number."
- Discount codes"Make a 10% code for guests from the Hilton concierge, valid until December."
- Today"Are we fully staffed for the weekend?"
- Bookings"A walk-in group of 4 paid cash for the 2pm ride. Add them."
- Money"Log $350 for a new ATV tyre."
- Tours and prices"We're closed on the 25th. Stop all rides that day."

Kong works alongside your other apps
Your assistant holds the connections, so one conversation can use Kong, your inbox and your calendar together.
Three jobs that cross apps
A guest enquiry, start to finish
- GmailA guest emails: "Do you have space Saturday morning for 4?"
- KongChecks Saturday. The 9am Rainforest ride has room for 4.
- GmailEmails the guest back with the times that have room.
- GmailThe guest replies: "9am works, book us in."
- KongBooks them in and sends the guest their confirmation.
Questions answered from your own SOPs
- GmailA guest asks: "Can my 10-year-old ride, and is there hotel pickup?"
- Google DriveReads your SOP for the age rule and the pickup details.
- GmailAnswers the guest, with the times that have room.
- GmailThe guest confirms by email.
- KongMakes the booking and sends the confirmation.
Partner bookings from a shared calendar
- Google CalendarA hotel partner writes a booking into the calendar you share with them.
- KongAdds it as a booking and credits the partner for the sale.
- Google CalendarMarks the event as confirmed so the partner can see it went in.
To run these, connect Gmail, Google Drive or Google Calendar to your assistant the same way you connect Kong. Each app has its own connector in Claude and ChatGPT; Kong only handles the booking side.
Four jobs you can run every day with your AI
From our demo ATV business. Pick a job to see the conversation.
Today you have 1 booking, 4 riders, 4 of 5 ATVs in use, 1 guide, 0 of 4 waivers signed and $0 to collect.
11am Xtreme: Jason Wong, 4 riders on 4 ATVs, paid in full by bank transfer. Zack is the marshal. The 9am, 2pm and 4pm Rainforest rides are empty.
Problem: none of Jason's group has signed their waiver. They can't be checked in until they do.
Tomorrow: one ride, 4pm Rainforest, Olivia Martin, 2 riders, paid $360, marshal assigned. No open to-dos.
Want me to send Jason a waiver reminder now so the group arrives signed?
Checked every ride until Friday against 4 ATVs instead of 5.
Today 11am Xtreme: Jason Wong, 4 riders on 4 ATVs. Fits, with no spare. Tomorrow 4pm Rainforest: Olivia Martin, 2 riders on 2 ATVs. Fits. Nothing has to move.
The risk is a new online booking taking the fifth ATV before Friday. Want me to cap both rides at 4 ATVs until Friday? I'll also log the repair cost as an expense when you have it.
Four rides are running Friday, and with Zack out, Euan is the only marshal. He can cover the 9am and the 4pm. He can't cover both the 11am Xtreme (11am to 3pm) and the 2pm Rainforest, because they overlap. One of those two has to move.
Option A (my pick): move Priya Nair's 2pm ride to 4pm the same day. 5 ATVs, 6 people: it fits, one marshal can take it, and the guests keep their day.
Option B: move Jonas Weber's Xtreme ride to Sunday 11am, which is free.
A or B? Once you say yes, I'll draft the guest email in Gmail for you to check, then move the booking when the guest picks.
Checked Saturday: the 9am Rainforest has room, 5 ATVs free and Euan is rostered.
Age rule from your tour settings: riders must be 12 or older to drive, so the 10-year-old rides as a passenger with an adult. Price: 2 riders at $180 and 1 passenger at $90, $450 to collect on the day.
I've drafted the reply to Sarah in Gmail for you to check. It confirms the time, the age rule and the price, and includes the waiver link.
Say yes and I'll take the booking for Sarah Lim, Saturday 9am Rainforest, 2 ATVs and 1 passenger, and send her confirmation.
- It checks
- Today's rides, riders, ATVs in use, guides, unsigned waivers and money to collect.
- It changes
- Nothing. It only reads.
- It checks
- Every ride until Friday against 4 ATVs instead of 5.
- It changes
- Moves the fewest guests possible, after your yes.
- It checks
- Every Friday ride, what Euan can cover on his own, and which ATVs are left.
- It changes
- Moves guests only if a ride can't be covered, after your yes.
- It checks
- Availability, price, and the ride's age and weight rules.
- It changes
- Takes the booking and drafts the reply, after your yes.
Will the AI change bookings without asking me?
No. Here's exactly where the line sits.
Asks you first
- Taking a booking (the guest gets notified)
- Changing a price or making a discount code
- Recording a payment
- Assigning guides or ATVs to a ride
- Blocking out one ATV, boat or staff member
Kong blocks until you say yes
- A cancellation with a fee (Kong quotes the fee first)
- Overbooking a full ride (your yes is recorded against your name)
Stays in the Kong app
- Refunds through your card processor
- New booking questions and gift cards
Data: guest data stays in Kong. Only a guest's email address, used to contact them, and their booking activity, date and time leave Kong. Guest names and contact details stay off your Google Calendar unless you switch them on.
Not yet: website changes and inviting your team can't be done through the connector.

See pricingQuestions operators ask
Which tour booking software works with ChatGPT and Claude?
Kong works with both. Connect your Kong account to ChatGPT or Claude once, then ask your assistant to check availability, take or move bookings, or show your sales. The table above shows which other booking software connects, checked 29 September 2026.
How do I connect Kong to Claude?
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. Name it Kong, paste https://api.bookwithkong.com/mcp and click Add. Sign in with your normal Kong login and click Allow. Then ask your first question, such as "What's on tomorrow?". It works on any Claude plan and costs nothing.
How do I connect Kong to ChatGPT?
The steps are the same as for Claude: add Kong as a connector in ChatGPT with the address https://api.bookwithkong.com/mcp, sign in with your normal Kong login and click Allow, then ask your first question. Pasting that address is the only thing to fill in. It works on any ChatGPT plan and costs nothing.
What can ChatGPT or Claude do in my Kong account?
It can search and look up bookings, take bookings including walk-ins, reschedule, cancel, approve and check guests in, resend confirmations, record payments and check waiver status. It can also edit tours, change prices, close days, log expenses, make discount codes and show your sales and profit and loss. Refunds, new booking questions and gift cards stay in the Kong app. Website changes and inviting your team can't be done through the connector yet.
Will the AI change bookings or prices without asking me?
No. Kong tells your assistant to show you exactly what it will change and wait for your yes before it takes a booking, changes a price, makes a discount code or records a payment. Kong itself blocks a cancellation with a fee and any overbooking of a full ride until you confirm, and your yes is recorded against your name.
Can the AI see my guests' card details?
No. Card details are never stored in Kong. They stay with your payment processor, and Kong cannot pass them on, so ChatGPT and Claude cannot see them.
Does it cost extra?
No. Connecting Kong to ChatGPT or Claude is free, and it works on any Claude or ChatGPT plan. Your Kong plan doesn't change.
Do I need to be technical?
No. There's no code to write. You add Kong as a connector with one address, https://api.bookwithkong.com/mcp, sign in with your normal Kong login and click Allow. If you can log in to Kong, you can connect it.
Can my staff connect their own assistant?
Yes. Each team member connects with their own Kong login, and their assistant can only do what that person's Kong role allows.
Does it work in Bahasa Malaysia?
Yes. Ask in Bahasa Malaysia or English and your assistant answers in the language you used. Your Kong data stays exactly as you entered it.
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude connect to other apps. Kong's connector runs on it. You don't need to know how it works: connect Kong once, and your assistant can look things up and make changes in your account when you ask.
What is restech?
Restech is the industry's word for reservation technology: the booking software tour and activity operators run on, like Kong, Rezdy or FareHarbor. Restech 2.0 is when your booking software gets a co-operator: an AI that runs the day with you, inside your rules. Nobody sells you one. You assemble it from a brain like Claude or ChatGPT and the tools it can talk to. Kong's connector is the hands.
